Katy Perry and Kendrick Lamar Are Both Currently Facing Copyright Lawsuits

 Katy Perry and Kendrick Lamar are reportedly facing separate copyright lawsuits due to certain samples they've used on their recent releases. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Katy is being sued by gospel singer Flame, who claims that his song "Joyful Noise" was allegedly illegally sampled in the making of Perry's "Dark Horse."

Meanwhile, Kendrick is being sued in California for improper sampling on his Section 80 track, "Keisha's Song." The plaintiff in this particular case is listed as Woolfsongs Limited, which is a company based out of the UK that handles the works of the platinum selling group, The Alan Parsons Project. The lawsuit claims that Kendrick used a sample of the song "Old and Wise" without proper consent.

Neither of the cases have been settled yet, though Kendrick and TDE did offer a settlement in their case, but it reportedly wasn't accepted. We'll update with more details when they become available.

Beyonce's Dad In Another Paternity Mess!

 Beyonce's dad, Mathew Knowles, has been sued by a second woman who claims he fathered her kid ... and she's looking for a payday.

TMZ has confirmed ... TaQoya Branscomb filed legal docs in Texas, claiming Mathew got her pregnant in 2010 ... the same year Beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles filed for divorce.  Tina filed because she found out Mathew was cheating on her with another woman whom he knocked up.

30-year-old Branscomb says she was a lingerie model but is now a real estate agent.

Mathew acknowledged in 2010 Alexsandra Wright was indeed his baby mama and he was ordered to pay $12K a month in child support, but that was reduced to $2,485 after Beyonce fired him and his income stream dried up.

As for the current case -- a story broken by BuzzFeed -- Branscomb is asking for a DNA test, a declaration of paternity and child support.

Kim and Kanye Goe Into Real Estate Business!

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West don't see bedrooms and bathrooms in their new mansion ... they see dollar signs ... and that's why they're going to sell it and officially enter the house-flipping market.

Kim and Kanye bought an $11 million mansion in Bel Air last year and did a major redo.  Their plan going in was to live in it, but sources connected with the couple tell us ... they've been told they could make millions if they sell it so, like Ellen, they're saying 'Why not?"

But this won't just be a one off.  We're told Kim and Kanye enjoyed the renovation process so much they've decided to make it a side business.  Their plan is to renovate several houses/estates a year.

As for why they think they have what it takes ... actually, their angle is that they know the best people in various fields of home renovation -- architects, landscapers, interior designers, etc.

As for their living situation ... we're told Kim and Kanye are happy living with Kris Jenner for now.  Plenty of space, and a built-in babysitter.

Columbus Short Arrested For Fighting With Cops Bar Arrest

Columbus Short was surrounded by stars after he allegedly attacked off-duty cops during a 4th of July bar fight.

Short made it seem he was skipping out on his bar tab at Katy Trail Ice House in Dallas ... according to eyewitnesses.  A security guard confronted him and Short became loud and physical. 

That's when several off-duty Dallas cops tried to calm short down and he allegedly attacked them. Short was immediately busted for public intoxication. The pic was taken outside the bar, before Short was hauled off to jail.

Lil Wayne SUED Could Lose Big Part of Young Money 8 minutes ago

Lil Wayne's label could lose the firehose that promotes stars like Drake and Nicki Minaj among many others ... according to a new lawsuit.

There was something called youngmoney.com -- a business specializing in helping young entrepreneurs manage and make money for more than a decade.

The suit claims the company that owned the website sold it to Wayne's Young Money label in 2011 for $600,000.  But there were strings attached ... if Wayne's Young Money didn't make the payments on time, YM would forfeit the name youngmoney.com and it would go back to the seller.

Wayne's company hasn't paid the $250K balance it owes and is blatantly blowing off its obligation ... according to the lawsuit.  So the seller is suing to get its domain name back.

We reached out to Wayne's Young Money.  They had no comment.
