South Africa football captain Senzo Meyiwa has been shot dead in Johannesburg, police have said in a statement. The 27-year-old was pictured with his pop star girlfriend Kelly Khumalo earlier on Sunday (left). The goalkeeper played for Orlando Pirates and had captained the national side in their last four matches (right). The Orlando Pirates club chairman Dr Irvin Khoza said tonight: 'This is a sad loss to Senzo's family especially his children, to Orlando Pirates and the nation.
