Ceelo Green CLEARED Of Sexual Assault …Charged With Ecstasy Possession

The L.A. County D.A. will CLEAR CeeLo Green of charges he sexually assaulted a woman by allegedly slipping a drug in her drink according to reports. CeeLo will, however, be charged with the felony of furnishing ecstasy  law enforcement sources say.

Our sources say the D.A. will officially REJECT the sexual assault case this morning. A woman had claimed she and CeeLo went to a sushi joint in downtown L.A. more than a year ago. She told cops the star of "The Voice" had slipped ecstasy in her drink and the next thing she knew she was naked in his bed.

Law enforcement sources tell us, authorities had problems with the woman's story ... one of which was that she and CeeLo had been dating for months and had already been intimate.

It was revealed that  CeeLo not only denied the allegations ... he encouraged the D.A. and the LAPD to fully investigate. In the end, we've learned the D.A. will reject the sexual assault case because of insufficient evidence.

As for the drug charge ... law enforcement sources tell us CeeLo will be charged with 1 count of furnishing ecstasy ... a felony, and he may be arraigned as early as this afternoon.

As was previously reported, the woman claimed to have a tape recording of CeeLo talking about the incident. Although  sources say CeeLo never said anything about slipping ecstasy in her drink, he did reference the drug. It appears the D.A. views the tape as a confession to drug use ... thus the charge.

British Woman's Jamaican Wedding Turns To Horror After Gunmen Burst Into Reception And Murder Groom – Over £60 Debt

A new bride was forced to watch her new husband being shot dead by masked gunmen at their Jamaican wedding reception.

Jacqueline Cousins, 49, married Dameion Cousins, 31, in an idyllic ceremony in the Caribbean.

But hours later an armed gang burst into the reception claiming the groom owed them $10,000 Jamaican dollars - just £60.

They held the bride at gunpoint while Mr Cousins was shot in the head outside in the driveway. Mrs Cousins, a family support worker, from Hornsey, North London, said she has no idea why the gang targeted her husband.

She said: 'I started screaming and screaming and I could not believe what I was seeing.

'I lay down next to him and I put my head on his chest. I realised he was dead.

'We were just two people who really loved each other and had taken that move to be together and just a few hours later this is what I was dealing with.'

The mother-of-seven first met Mr Cousins - a songwriter and performer - when she visited her parent's home in Jamaica 11 years ago.

The couple did not begin dating until seven years later when her previous marriage fell apart.

After a long-distance romance Mr Cousins proposed on New Year's Day in 2012 and the pair married in an intimate ceremony at his home in Hart Hill, Jamaica, in July this year.

'It was absolutely beautiful,' said Mrs Cousins.  The reception was also held at the property and Mr Cousins briefly left towards the end of the evening to drop his two daughters back to their mother's house.

The new wife and her mother-in-law Dorothy, 80, were chatting in an upstairs bedroom when two thugs burst in and demanded to know 'where is the Rasta?'.

They claimed he owed them cash and one of the intruders went in search of valuables.

But at that moment Mr Cousins pulled into the drive and the women heard a number of gunshots before the gunmen scarpered.

Police arrested two men following the brutal attack, but released them without charge and no one has ever been caught or prosecuted.

The newlyweds planned to return to London so Mrs Cousins could continue work and her new husband could get a job.

Mrs Cousins, who returned to London in August, said: 'I just want answers. 'The two men who killed my husband are still out there.

'Everybody loved Dameion. He got on with everyone. I think it was simply jealousy that he might have left the country and had a life with me.'

TIMBALAND'S WIFE FILES FOR DIVORCE

Music producer Timbaland's wife Monique Mosley has filed for divorce to end their five-year marriage and has asked for alimony and child support.

The 41-year-old musician and Monique have a five-year-old daughter Reign together.

Monique asked for child support for Reign and also for her 10-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Monique said in court documents that the rapper has 'publicy and privately proclaimed this child as his own,' according to an article on Wednesday in TMZ.

Monique also has asked for alimony, life insurance, private school, vacations, summer camp and other expenses.

The former publicist also wants Timbaland, whose given name is Timothy Zachery Mosley, to pay for her legal fees.
She also is seeking 'rehabilitative alimony' and permanent alimony in addition to funds while divorce proceedings continue.

Monique said in court documents that she had to borrow money from a friend to pay for her lawyer.

Timbaland has been a fixture on the music scene since the mid-1990s and has worked with many of the music industry's biggest stars, including Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Jay-Z, Bjork, 50-Cent, Ginuwine and the late Aaliyah.

Five Surprising Reasons You're Gaining Weight

Extra calories may not be the only cause of weight gain.


1. You Might Be Gaining Weight Because of Lack of Sleep
The body functions best when well rested. "When you don't get enough sleep, your body experiences physiological stress and, biochemically, you store fat more efficiently," says May.

When you're tired, you also don't handle stress as well, so you may reach for food as a coping mechanism. Further, you may be taking in extra calories from late-night snacking. Some people think eating might help them get back to sleep, but all it really does is add more calories to their daily total.

Symptoms that you may not be getting enough rest include fatigue, low energy levels, nodding off easily, and feeling irritable.

Strive to get eight hours of sleep each night.

"Add about 15 minutes to your bedtime and see how you feel," suggests May. "Continue to experiment with additional 15-minute increments until you find the ... amount of sleep that is right for you."

When you develop good sleeping rituals and get regular exercise, you sleep better, she adds.

2. You May Be Gaining Weight Because of Stress
We live in a society that demands we do more, be more, and achieve more. Stress moves us forward and helps cope with life's demands, but it also affects our mood and emotions.

"Stress response, whether it is 'fight-or-flight,' juggling too many responsibilities, or coping with financial pressures, triggers a biochemical process where our bodies go into survival mode," explains May. "Our bodies store fuel, slow down metabolism, and dump out chemicals [cortisol, leptin, and other hormones] which are more likely to cause ... obesity in the abdominal region."

Many people reach for food to help ease the stress. But, of course, this doesn't work in the long run.

"Food is a temporary fix because it does not deal with the real stressors that must be addressed in order to reduce the trigger for eating and fix the problem," says May.

Susan Bowerman, MS, RD, assistant director of the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition, says stress eaters tend to prefer high-carbohydrate foods because these foods trigger an increase in the brain chemical serotonin, which has a calming effect. "It is almost like self-medicating," she says. "Many people binge on starchy foods to make themselves feel better."

Both May and Bowerman recommend relaxation techniques as well as exercise, which also burns calories and provides other health benefits.

3. You May Be Gaining Weight Because of MedicationsSome prescription drugs used to treat depression, mood disorders, seizures, migraines, blood pressure, and diabetes can cause weight gain, from a modest amount to as much as 10 pounds per month. Some steroids, hormone replacement therapy, and even oral contraceptives may also cause gradual weight creep. Your medicine cabinet might be the cause of your weight gain if you've gained 5 or more pounds in a month without a change in your lifestyle.

"Every drug works a little differently to cause weight gain, from increasing appetite, altering the way fat is stored, to how insulin levels change," says May. "And not all drugs have the same side effects on all people."

In the case of antidepressants, weight gain may not even be related to the action of the drug -- feeling better can also result in a heartier appetite. Some drugs can cause fluid retention that shows up on the scale as weight gain, but is not fat, and is usually easily corrected.

Experts say that some of the most common types of medications that may cause weight gain are:
Steroids
Antidepressants
Antipsychotics
Antiseizure medications
Diabetes medications
High blood pressure medications
Heartburn medications

But it's important to remember that a few extra pounds may be well worth the trade-off of what a particular medication does for your overall health, experts say. Further, even if your medications are the cause of your weight gain, you still need to be mindful of eating a healthy diet and getting regular exercise.

"Rarely is the problem solved with a change in meds," says May. "These things can contribute, but rarely are the sole cause of the weight gain."

If you suspect your medication is causing weight gain, talk to your health care provider to see about changing your prescription. But whatever you do, don't go off your medication without seeking medical advice.

"There could be very serious consequences if you stop taking your medication without consulting your physician," says May.

4. You May Be Gaining Weight Because of a Medical ConditionThe most common medical condition that causes weight gain is hypothyroidism. A deficiency of thyroid hormone can decrease metabolism, causing appetite loss and weight gain.

"If you are feeling fatigued, lethargic, swelling, hoarse voice, intolerance to cold, sleeping too much, or headaches, you should see your doctor for an easy test to determine if you have hypothyroidism," says May.

Much rarer is a condition known as Cushing's syndrome -- a disorder caused by an excess of the hormone cortisol -- that can also result in weight gain.

5. You May Be Gaining Weight Because of Menopause
Women reach menopause at a range of ages, but most are in midlife and are often less physically active than when they were younger. Along with aging comes a natural slowing of metabolism. At the same time, hormonal changes can trigger hunger, depression, and poor sleep.

"It is multifactoral. When women go through menopause, they lose estrogen, causing their shapes to change -- usually a loss of hip and thigh weight. And they start to gain more in the middle," says Bowerman. She explains that estrogen favors fat deposition in the lower body, and when you lose this hormone, fat is more likely to be deposited in the midsection (much like men). This spare tire around the middle has been not so affectionately called the "menopot."

The key to avoiding this extra belly fat is to maintain and increase the amount of lean body mass, which will, in turn, increase your metabolism or calorie burn rate.

"Women need to understand how critically important weight lifting and strength training is to their health," says Bowerman. And don't worry, doing strength training won't make women muscle-bound, experts say.

Exercise also helps offset bone loss that can come with menopause. A combination of exercise and a healthy, calorie-controlled diet rich in calcium and vitamin D is the answer to thwarting menopausal weight gain.

No screaming is permitted by the men wielding the canes but the women don't care. Instead of fleeing, they beg the men to do it again and again until blood flows, dripping into the gritty red dust of the Omo River Valley.

Now the Hamar and their unique culture that merges the beautiful and the brutal in equal measure are the subject of a series of incredible photographs created by French lensman, Eric Lafforgue.

Lafforgue travelled to Ethiopia after spotting pictures of the Hamar in a vintage book and hopes his photos will provide a record of a culture under threat from encroaching modernity.

His striking images reveal the beauty of Hamar women in their orange ochre make-up and bright beads, their skin scarred into intricate patterns using thorns, resilient as they live a life that's precarious at best and brutal at worst.

But not everything about the Hamar is troubling. For the Hamar, cattle are everything, and for the men, they form a key part of the rite that turns them from boy to man.

Man Hacks Off His Own Infected Leg With A Saw And A Back Scratcher Because He Could Not Afford Hospital Bills

A man hacked off his own leg using only a metal saw, a small fruit knife and a back scratcher wrapped with a towel because he couldn't afford hospital bills.

According to Shanghaiist.com, Zheng Yanliang, 47, from Boading city, China, began to experience bouts of pain in his abdomen that traveled to both of his legs. He was diagnosed with massive arterial thrombosis in both legs.

As the pain worsened, he decided to take the gruesome step of removing the infected limb himself to avoid the expensive hospital bill.

Angiograms taken before the home amputation showed that all of the arteries in his right leg were completely gone.

Doctors told the Mr Yanliang, known in his town as being a 'tough guy', the disease was very rarely seen, and he wasn't likely to live more than a month.

For three months, Mr Yanliang was tormented by pain to the point of fuzzy consciousness, screaming so loud that his neighbors could not sleep.

One night, after his wife had gone to bed, Mr Yanliang found a fruit knife, a metal saw and a towel-wrapped back scratcher and began amputating his own leg.

More than 20 minutes later, his wife awoke and found him with his right leg amputated.

Her husband’s right leg had been sawed off about 15 centimeters from the hip, and the metal saw used for the amputation had snapped into two from the excessive force, and on the table were 4 molars that had been bitten off.

Fortunately, because of the thrombosis, there wasn’t much blood during the amputation.

Although the amputation stopped the pain in his right leg, the infection worsened in his left leg, and he began to experience the excruciating pain once again.

Mr Yanliang is now asking his community to help pay for an artificial limb, so that he can carry on with his life and take care of his family.

The Photograph That Shamed Mexico: Health Director Suspended After Shocking Image Of Indigenous Woman Giving Birth On A Clinic LAWN When Nurses Denied Her Treatment Went Viral

A disturbing photograph of an indigenous woman from Mexico delivering a baby on a patch of grass outside a medical center has set off a firestorm online and sparked a national debate that led to the suspension of the head of the clinic that has turned the mother away.

The shocking image, taken by a passerby, shows 29-year-old Irma Lopez , who is of Mazatec ethnicity, squatting after giving birth, her face contorted in pain and her tiny newborn son still bound by the umbilical cord and lying on the ground.

The government of the southern state of Oaxaca announced Wednesday that it has suspended the health center's director, Dr. Adrian Cruz, while officials conduct state and federal investigations into the October 2 incident.

Mrs Lopez, a married mother of three, said that she and her husband were turned away from the Rural Health Center of the village of San Felipe Jalapa de Diaz by a nurse who said she was only eight months pregnant and ‘still not ready’ to deliver, even though the woman was reportedly fully dilated.

The couple, who are Mazatecs and do not speak Spanish, could not understand much of what the nurse was telling them beyond the word ‘no,’ so they went outside.

Addressing the controversy later, the nurses blamed the incident on the language barrier and claimed that they did not have enough staff on hand to treat the woman due to a partial work stoppage.

An hour and a half later, at 7.30am, the woman’s water broke. Knowing that the time has come, Lopez kneeled on the grass outside the clinic and started pushing while grabbing the wall of a house.

‘I didn't want to deliver like this. It was so ugly and with so much pain,’ she said, adding she was alone for the birth because her husband was trying to persuade the nurse to call for help.

Eloy Pacheco Lopez, who was among a number of people drawn to the site by the mother’s screams, took the photo and gave it to a news reporter. It ran in several national newspapers, including the full front page of the tabloid La Razon de Mexico, and was widely circulated on the Internet.

Pacheco López also shared the image on Facebook, writing that 'after waiting and demanding attention for two hours, she gave birth in the yard of the hospital after being ignored by personnel under the direction of the supposed doctor Adrian René Cruz Cabrera,' Latin Times reported.

The case illustrated the shortcomings of maternal care in Mexico, where hundreds of women still die during or right after pregnancy. It also pointed to still persistent discrimination against Mexico's indigenous people persists.

Warlord Charles Taylor To Serve 50-Year Sentence For Sierra Leone War Crimes In A BRITISH Jail

Notorious warlord Charles Taylor is to serve his 50-year jail term in a British prison, ministers announced today.

The former president of Liberia was convicted by the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL) on 11 counts of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including terrorism, murder, rape and using child soldiers.

UK justice minister Jeremy Wright said today: 'The conviction of Charles Taylor is a landmark moment for international justice.'

The controversial decision to send Taylor to Britain could cost the taxpayer up to £80,000-a-year to keep him in in a maximum security prison.

Last month Taylor lost his appeal against his convictions, which made him the first former head of state convicted by an international court since Nuremberg trials of Nazi leaders after the Second World War.

The court's ruling came more than a decade after Taylor helped rebels go on a murderous rampage across war-torn Sierra Leone, raping, murdering and mutilating tens of thousands of innocent victims.

Taylor had aided and abetted crimes committed by Revolutionary United Front and Armed Forces Revolutionary Council rebels, while knowing well the kinds of crimes they were committing.

Presiding Judge George Gelaga King said: 'Their primary purpose was to spread terror. Brutal violence was purposefully unleashed against civilians with the purpose of making them afraid, afraid that there would be more violence if they continued to resist.'

Charles Taylor aided rebels in Sierra Leone during a brutal civil war in the 1990s which left 50,000 people dead.

Thousands more were left mutilated in the conflict that became known for the extreme cruelty of rival rebel groups who hacked off the limbs of their victims and carved their initials into opponents.

Taylor helped to plan attacks in return for 'blood diamonds' mined by slave labourers in Sierra Leone and political influence in the volatile West African region.

He was convicted not only of aiding and abetting Sierra Leone rebels from Liberia, but also for actually planning some of the attacks carried out by Sierra Leone rebel groups, the Revolutionary United Front and the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council.

The trial opened in June 2007 in The Hague. Taylor boycotted the initial proceedings and dismissed his legal team.

He pleaded not guilty to all 11 charges. Witness testimony began in January 2008, and ended in November 2010. Closing arguments took place in February and March 2011.

The court heard live testimony from over 90 prosecution witnesses, and received written statements from four additional witnesses. The defence presented 21 witnesses.   Court hearings included testimony from supermodel Naomi Campbell about a gift of diamonds from Taylor. 

'Governments and the international community were also afraid that unless the RUF and the AFRC demands were met, thousands more killings, mutilations, abductions and rapes of civilians would follow.'

Taylor was sentenced to 50 years in jail in May last year, and the Special Court for Sierra Leone (SCSL) dismissed the appeal and confirmed the sentence on September 26 this year.

Passenger Lands Plane Despite NO Flying Experience As Pilot Falls Ill And Later Dies

The pilot of a light plane who fell ill - forcing his passenger to land it despite having no flying experience - has died.

The brave passenger managed to safely land the plane last night at Humberside Airport in North Lincolnshire with the help of two instructors.

The light aircraft, thought to be a Cessna, took off at 6.30pm, but moments later the pilot declared an emergency before falling unconscious, with one man on board.

Shaken up, the passenger seized the controls and, after several passes over the airport, landed an hour later while air traffic control talked him down by radio from the tower.

Roy Murray, one of two flight instructors who guided him through the landing, said the man had no flying experience and did a “remarkable job”.

Mr Murray, who works at a flying school at the airport, said: “He made quite a good landing actually.

The pair took off from Sandtoft Airfield, East Yorkshire, when the alarm was raised and airport staff stepped into action.

Mr Murray said he tried to keep the man calm. He said: “The last thing you want to do is panic... then all sorts can happen.”

He said there were cheers in the airport control room as the plane landed safely on its fourth attempt.

Drunk Easyjet Passenger Tasered After Stripping NAKED And Challenging Pilot To FIGHT

A drunken passenger was tasered by police after stripping naked on the airport tarmac – and challenging the pilot to a fight.

The 52-year-old man, who had arrived in Manchester on an easyJet flight from Malta, also urinated up the side of the Terminal One building.

Video taken of the amazing incident shows the burly, bald man removing his clothes on the runway apron and posturing at the captain – before receiving a slap across the face from his female companion.

It is understood trouble began mid-flight when the man, who appeared drunk, became abusive and started swearing at fellow passengers.

A witness who asked not to be named said: “He’d had an altercation with other passengers and the captain had come down the plane to calm him down.”

But on landing at Manchester at 1.28pm, the passenger’s bizarre behaviour continued.

It is understood that after coming off the plane, down the steps and on to the tarmac, he stripped to his black underpants and gestured towards the pilot.

A Chinese woman has been arrested after forcing her boyfriend to kneel in the street and repeatedly slapping him around the face.

The man was accused of cheating on the woman after bringing another girl back to his flat in Hong Kong.

After his girlfriend took him out to the street and began berating him, a crowd of onlookers gathered and started taking pictures.

The 20-year-old woman, named Cheng, was later arrested on suspicion of common assault, while the victim, 23-year-old Chui, was taken to hospital.

The alleged assault happened last Friday in the Kowloon City area of Hong Kong, after Chui took a girl to his flat despite the fact he was going out with Cheng.

She made him kneel on the pavement in full view of passers-by, and accused him of going behind her back by inviting in the other girl - who was standing next to the couple throughout the fight.

However, he insisted he had not asked the girl to come to his flat, saying: 'Listen to me first before beating me.'

Cheng then started slapping Chui across the face as he screamed, 'You're slandering me!', and urged the other girl to corroborate his story.

The scene was filmed by an onlooker, who commented at one point: 'At least break up with her if you're not fighting back.'

As other bystanders started to intervene in the altercation, Cheng shouted, 'None of your business!'

Most witnesses took Chui's side, with one woman telling him: 'Stand up, ditch this ugly girl, you deserve better.'

One passer-by called the police, leading to Cheng's arrest. A police spokesman told South China Morning Post: 'Police received a report at around 5.10pm on October 4 outside 38 San Ma Tau Street in Kowloon City.

'Police who arrived at the scene arrested a female, aged 20 and surnamed Cheng, for common assault. A victim, aged 23 and surnamed Chui, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.'
