Amaju Pinnick, Delta FC chairman, has won the NFF election
held Tuesday afternoon in Warri after two rounds of voting.
Pinnick led other contestants with 25 votes in the first
round, as Taiwo Ogunjobi polled 9votes, while Dominic Iorfa and Amanze
Uchegbulam secured 6 and 4 votes respectively.
To emerge the President of the football body, he won the
second round of election with a simple majority. He polled 32 votes.
Dominic Iorfa came second with 8 votes while Taiwo Ogunjobi
polled 4 votes.
Reacting to the outcome of the election, ex-Eagles player
Iorfa said he was a better candidate for the NFF President position, lamenting
that “money won the election.”
Meanwhile, other candidates have congratulated Pinnick on his
victory.
