Pop princess Rihanna has won
a legal case against Topshop, for putting pictures of her on a shirt without
her approval. In a court ruling yesterday, Rihanna won the case against
Topshop’s parent company Arcadia for £3.3million ($5.5million) after her
lawyers argued that it was false advertising as it would make her fans buy the
shirt thinking it was endorsed by Rihanna. An injunction was granted
prohibiting Topshop from selling the clothes without informing prospective
purchasers that it had not been approved or authorized.
