Saudi Arabia Buries Its King In An Unmarked Grave
The late King Abdullah was
placed in an unmarked grave (main picture) in keeping with local religious
traditions less than 24 hours after Saudi Arabia was plunged into mourning by
his death. Earlier his body, wrapped in white cloth had been carried through a
crowd of mourners into a mosque in Riyadh. The royal died last night aged 90
following a battle with pneumonia. Half-brother Salman, 79, a reputed moderate,
has inherited the throne.
