Kogi
State Governor, Capt. Idris Wada, says there will be no hiding place for those
behind the bombing of Tao FM in Kuroko, Adavi LGA of Kogi State.
Capt.
Wada disclosed this when he paid a sympathy visit to the management of the
radio station.
The
Governor who was represented by his deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, discribed the attack
on the station as callous and senseless, stressing that perpetrators of the
bomb attack are enemies of progress who must be brought to justice.
He
noted that the radio station which has become the voice of Ebira people would
be given the necessary support and encouragement to resume operation as soon as
possible.
While
sympathising with the management and staff of the media house for the loss of
lives and properties, Governor Wada said the visit which is coming a week after
an earlier visit led by the Secretary to the State Government Prof. Olugbemiro
Jegede underscores the importance accorded the radio station by the State
Government.
The
Governor who was accompanied on the visit by the Commissioner for Information,
Hajiya Zainab Suleiman Okino, was received by Salamatu Ali, the Accountant of
the FM Station, who said the destruction was a set back as it happened at
a time the station has become a household name among the people of Ebiraland.
She
praised the state government for the concern and support it has shown since the
incident occurred.
It
would be recalled that the ugly incident at Tao FM occurred last week when some
unknown assailants invaded the premises of the radio station killing four
persons and causing massive damage to the station.
