The unnamed men - one dressed in a blue hat and cream pair of
shorts, and the other all in black - were pictured fleeing for their lives
(above) as the scorched wreckage of the 1950s plane hurtled down the A27 on
Saturday. They were at the back of an eight-strong group watching the Shoreham
Airshow on a grassy verge when the aircraft failed to pull up from a
loop-the-loop and plunged into stationary traffic. Witnesses have previously
spoken of their concern the group may have been 'swept away' by a fireball,
with police believing their bodies may have become trapped under the fuselage
of the aircraft. But an image (below) taken minutes later show the same men
standing close to a damaged car as debris lay around them.
