The CEO of Cash Money Records, Birdman, yesterday bought his daughter, Bria,  a 2014 Gwagon SUV as a gift for her 16^th birthday.

Obesere Arrested For Alleged Rape – Vanguard Reports

Popular Fuji musician,  Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, has been arrested  by the Police in Lagos State for allegedly raping a 29-year-old business woman, Miss Olanike Olaiya in his Okota residence, Lagos.

The victim, who took the matter to the Police, also narrated her ordeal in the hands of the musician whose shows generally fascinate society women.

According to Olaiya, a  National Diploma graduate of business administration from Ibadan Polytechnic, “I got to know  Obesere through one of my friends, Mrs Bola Okoro. She told me that Obesere would assist me in my business.

“I deal in office equipment and when I contacted Obesere, he asked me to meet him in his family house at Okota.  When I  met him, I  introduced my business to him and he promised to connect me to some of his friends in Dubai who would sell  goods to me on credit.

“After the discussion, he started demanding for sex and I refused and when I wanted to leave, he insisted I should sleep over in his house because it was late and he claimed that it was dangerous to go out late in the night in his area.

“I thought he was a responsible man and I decided to sleep over, but at the dead of the night, he came into the room where I slept and pounced on me.

“He raped me and afterwards inserted a ring he wore into my  private part  and I started bleeding. He hurriedly  left me in the room saying he had an appointment to fulfil.

“I could not bear the trauma and the bleeding and I reported the matter  to the police.”

Vanguard gathered that Obesere was first arrested last Wednesday by the Police at Isolo Police Division, where Olaiya reported the matter. He was subsequently released on administrative bail.

He  was later re-arrested on Monday, when medical examination conducted on Olaiya revealed that she was actually raped and the Divisional Police Officer, Isolo,  Adamu Ibrahim, was said to have ordered the transfer of the matter to State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, Panti, Yaba, for further investigation.

Sources disclosed that Obesere’s arrest was made possible through a warrant of arrest issued by the Chief Magistrate of Isolo Magistrate Court, Mrs Kike Bukola Ayeye, as he had declined to honour several police invitations sent to his  house at Johnson Famiye Street, Canal Estate, Ago, Okota.

Police sources also said Obesere in his statement denied ever raping Olaiya, rather he claimed she was his lover and they made love when she visited him.

The source added that Obesere claimed he asked her to go to a private hospital for treatment when she complained that she was bleeding, but he was surprised when she reported to the police that she was raped.

Old People Burnt To Death As Boko Haram Kills 40

Boko Haram terrorists yesterday killed  more than 40 residents of Jakana, a village in Konduga Local Government Area. Among the dead were two policemen and 11 elders, who were too weak to flee .

The terrorists set ablaze houses, shops and the only standing police station on the Maiduguri-Damaturu road.

 There were also reports that dozens of the terrorists were killed in nearby Sambisa forest while fleeing after the attack.

Jakana is about 40 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the state capital, and almost 20 kilometers away from Mainok, the village which was destroyed by terrorists on the 2^nd of march, 2014.

Brymo/Chocolate City Feud: Lagos High Court Lifts Ban Against Brymo

A Lagos High court yesterday  lifted the injunction Chocolate City got against Brymo last year.

The justice stated  that since the plaintiff can be compensated at a latter date, Brymo can carry on with his music carrer without harassment from Chocolate City.  The case was adjourned till March 19, 2014 for further hearing.

As I always advice, upcoming Artistes should be careful when signing a contract, don’t be desperate, make sure you read all the clauses. Stardom will sure come.

Pastor Arrested For Conducting Virginity Test On Member With Finger- Vanguard reports

The Ogun State Police Command said yesterday, that it had arrested a pastor identified as  Adekunle Kayode, 34, for conducting virginity test on  a 20-year-old female member of his church in Abeokuta, the state capital, using his finger.

Kayode, a pastor in charge of Jesus Is The Way Evangelistic Ministry, Olorunsogo, Abeokuta, was reportedly arrested by detectives attached to Kemta Division  in his house, 3, Okeyidi Street, Abeokuta.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, in a statement said the pastor’s arrest was carried out when the victim narrated her ordeal to her father who then informed the police of the incident.

The pastor was reported to have been engaging in the act in the church weekly in a bid to confirm the girl’s virginity status.

According to the PPRO, “there was also a drama when the victim received ‘holy spirit’ which propelled her to reveal the misdeeds of the pastor who has indulged in this ungodly act for years.

“Another suspect arrested for similar offence  is one Onatade Oluwasegun, 23, of 4, Sheriff Onatade Street, Obantoko for conspiring with the said pastor to use the victim for a ritual purpose.

“The father of the victim alleged that the duo were fond of dipping their fingers in the victim’s private part even when she was menstruating for reasons best known to them.

“She also claimed that the pastor recently confirmed her  virginity status when she was to take part in a church programme.

“The victim has also claimed that Oluwasegun used a charm while attempting to rape  her as directed by the pastor possibly for a ritual but she miraculously escaped.

“Meantime,  the police have recovered the charm from the pastor within the church premises.

“The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, Ikemefuna Okoye, has directed that the matter be transferred to the SCID, Eleweran for further investigation.”

According to a press release sent out by West's camp and Jay's label, the deal will also cover the "Yeezus" rapper's "worldwide touring ventures." West's creative agency, DONDA, is named after the artist's late mother and provides design services for affiliated acts (including, but not limited to: apparel, album covers, stage design and film projects).

Since West provided beats for some of Jay Z's most iconic early hits ("Takeover," "H to the Izzo," etc. ), the pair have enjoyed a fruitful friendship. Jay, who's older, is the more conservative, business-minded of the two, with West often pushing the envelope when it comes to both music and design. The duo released an album, "Watch the Throne," together in 2011 and toured in support of the LP.

Pastor Accused Of Raping Woman With Mental Disability

Police collared a Louisiana pastor, accused of raping a woman who suffers from mental disabilities.

David "Scott" Lemley, 43, pastor of Baton Rouge's New Harmony Baptist Church, was arrested Saturday on charges of aggravated rape, The Advocate first reported.

The victim, a 20-year-old female, is described as having the mental capacity of a 7-year-old. Lemley allegedly conspired with the victim's father to have sex with her, according to arrest records.

The father -- who is not being named to protect the identity of the victim -- is suspected of telling his daughter to have sex with the pastor because the pastor's wife was ill and bed ridden. The father is in prison on multiple sex charges, including aggravated rape.

The woman told investigators that she and the pastor had sex on multiple occasions, despite saying that she didn't want to, according to KATC.

Lemley denied ever having sex with the woman when he was interviewed by police in late 2013. According to the warrant, he told investigators that the victim is "known for making up stories for no reason.”

The pastor agreed to take a lie detector test on Dec. 6 of last year, but never showed up, the warrant states.

Kim Lemley, the pastor's wife who also works at the church, denied the rape allegations.

“It's false charges,” she said. Lemley is being held on $75,000 bail.

'Something Ain't Right': 50 Cent Suggests Diddy And Rick Ross Are Gay In Instagram Photos... Then Quickly Takes Them Down

He is well-known for his famous feuds and 50 Cent lashed out at fellow rappers Diddy and Rick Ross on Sunday.

The star, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, took his well-documented rows with the pair to the next level in a move which it seems even he realised was too far.

50 Cent posted two photos to Instagram on Sunday, which insinuated that Diddy, real name Sean Combs, and Ross, real name William Leonard Roberts II, are gay, then appeared to say that it would not be 'right' if they were.

One image showed the pair performing on stage in a photo which is taken at such an angle that it makes it look like they are kissing.

The other shot was of Diddy sporting a pink shirt while embracing former record executive Steve Stoute, also clad in pink.

‘I ain't saying nothing, but something ain't right. Lmao,’ 50 Cent wrote along with the snaps.

But it seems he quickly reconsidered as it wasn’t long before the 38-year-old had pulled down the post from his social networking site.

Their feud began years ago after a contract dispute over rapper Mase, and 50 Cent has also accused Diddy of knowing about The Notorious B.I.G.’s murder and said his music ‘sucks’.

The duo have attempted to resolve things on a couple of occasions, but most recently fought at the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards, although it is not known what the row was over.

Rick Ross started his own dispute with the rapper in 2009, after claiming he looked at him the wrong way, and the pair have threatened each other over the years.

They were also spotted rowing at the BET Hip Hop Awards in 2012, adding further fuel to the feud.

50 Cent also has new beef with Stoute, who recently said his last great song was the 2007 track I Get Money while appearing on a VH1 documentary.

Security Agents Arrest Four Suspected Sea Pirates In Ondo State

Security agents in Ondo State have arrested four suspected sea pirates allegedly operating in the Ilaje/Ese-Odo local government area of the state.

According to the Ondo State command of the Nigerian Police Force,  the arrested suspects were responsible for several attacks along the waters in the Awoye/Ubale area.

The suspects who were identified as  Kingsley Sunday, Felix Okiki, Okumagba Ibere and Godspower Happy reportedly confessed to being indigenes of Delta and Edo States.

  The State Police command said that the four suspects were apprehended through the combined efforts of the officers of the Nigerian Police Force and members of a local vigilante in Ilaje /Ese-Odo who laid an ambush for the suspected criminals.

Armed Robbers Take Over Vine Branch Church In Ibadan During Service

A gang of seven armed robbers yesterday March 2 invaded The Vine Branch Church in Yemetu, Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria. 

 According to eyewitnesses, the robbery gang stormed the church around 12noon while the service was going on;   they collected offerings and tithes and then ordered the congregation to lie on the floor. 

The resident Pastor, Sola Kolade confirmed the incident and said some members of the church sustained injuries. A police officer was said to have been killed during the robbery operation which lasted for about 15 minutes.

Kanu Nwankwo undergoes Corrective heart surgery in US

Nigerian football legend and founder of Kanu Heart Foundation (KHF) Nwankwo Kanu, at the weekend underwent a corrective heart surgery at the Cleveland Hospital Ohio, USA.

Coordinator of the KHF, Pastor Onyebuchi Abia, told newsmen  yesterday that the surgery was routine, following the much-publicised surgey the former Nigeria international had at the same hospital in 1996.

“Nwankwo has since left the intensive care unit of the hospital and is still recuperating in there,” Abia said.

“He will be back home in a few days . I spoke with him today (yesterday) and he confirmed he is in a stable condition. Even from his hospital bed, he expressed profound gratitude to President Goodluck Jonathan for the award bestowed on him at the Centenary Award Ceremony in Abuja on Friday.

“He also hailed the transformation agenda of the present administration, especially the government’s commitment to sports while promising to continue his football ambassadorial work for the benefit of Nigeria.”

Chris Brown Suffering From Bipolar Disorder

According to legal documents obtained by E! News, the famous singer is believed to be suffering from bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder.

The letter from the rehab facility states, "Mr. Brown will also require close supervision by his treating physician in order to ensure his bipolar mental health condition remains stable. It is not uncommon for patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar II to use substances to self-medicate their biomedical mood swings and trauma triggers."

It continues, "Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD."

Additionally, the judge ordered Brown to stay in his residential rehab program, despite receiving a favorable report from the probation department.

The singer, who looked clean-cut in a silver suit, sat with his eyes closed next to his mother, Joyce Hawkins, while his lawyer conferred with the judge. Judge Brandlin was quoted from the probation report saying, "It is evident that [Brown] has responded well to the dual diagnosis treatment."

The report states that Breezy has completed 250 hours of community labor and has a remaining balance of 750 hours. The celeb currently does community labor three times a week (24 hours) and at that rate is expected to complete the hours by Oct. 10.

The report also states that Brown "would like to inform the court that he appreciates what he has learned in the rehabilitation facility, as it has allowed him to change his life for the better," and that "he remains thankful to the court for the opportunity to find out and learn about himself, his anger issues and the type of person he wants to become, which is a man who is able to better himself and be a positive role model."

"Never really goes the way u plan. #LIFE," Brown tweeted earlier today, after telling his Twitter followers, "Court tomorrow. Prayers and Positivity. Thank you so much GOD and team breezy for everything you do."

Brown was ordered to appear back in the Los Angeles court on April 23 for a probation violation setting hearing.

Nigeria Government Grants Islamist Terror Preacher Visa -Telegraph

The Minister of Interior, Abba Moro has said the Federal Government granted visa to a renowned extremist and Islamic terror Preacher, Dr Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips because he met the requirements.

Philips who lives in Qatar has been issued a Nigerian Visa to visit and preach in the Country. The cleric has already been banned from countries like Australia, Germany, United Kingdom, United States of America, Kenya, amongst others.

Abu Ameenah Bilal Philips has been banned from a number of countries because of his messages.

Reports had it that the cleric celebrated his Visa issuance with his followers on his Facebook on Sunday morning, saying, “Al hamdu lillaah. I just got a visa for Nigeria and will be going there in a few days, in shaa allaah. So, I hope to see all my Nigerian brothers and sisters. Baarakallaahu feekum”.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the Minister of Interior noted that every country has its own requirement for the grant visa and in Nigeria’s situation especially against “the back drop of our security challenges, we also have our requirement for granting of visas.

“We have our own black list too of people that because of our security situation should not be allowed into country.

“And if this preacher that you talk about for instance did not fall within the list of people black listed for their activities that are inimical to internal security. If he is preaching and the content of what he has submitted for the granting of visa that will not undermine the security of the country, then certainly we will grant him the visa. That is the purpose we have achieved here”.

He further said it was double standards, as “when the Nigerian government signed the anti-law and the west was complaining, we started that Nigeria nation is a soverign country that should be allowed to determine it’s destiny and practices”.

He added that Nigeria will therefore not use” the refusal of visa by Germany, UK as a basis for refusing anybody visa here.

Minister of the Interior, Abba Moro “I can assure you that the Nigerian security personnel are equal to the task of detecting whose activities that are inimical to the situation of this country.

“Any moment that his preaching and activities are seen to be inimical to the security of this country I can assure you that we are up to the task of repatriating him as soon as possible.

“And his specific activities in this country guides the request that he has made which has also guided the action of the Nigerian immigration service in granting the visa.

“Apart from the preacher any other person that gains entry to this country whose activities undermine the integrity and security of this country will be properly treated.”
