Altar In Motion: This Is A Dashboard of A commercial Bus In Lagos

When I boarded the bus at the Ojota motorpark in Lagos, I thought I strayed into a a Mobil Catholic Church. My curiousity couldn’t let me be, then I asked the driver, why did you build an altar in your dashboard?  His answer was “It is for protection”. I chuckled. Many commercial drivers in Lagos South West Nigeria usually put bible on their dashboard, whether they are read or not, your guess is as good as mine.Has this driver gone too far?. Is this an act of holiness or trying to "fetish" Christianity as a religion?.
