Kim Kardashian is about to launch a baby clothes line with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe.

And the designing mom perhaps drew some inspiration as she stocked up on clothes for eight-month-old daughter North at Sweet William Baby Clothing Store in New York on Thursday.

Kim, 33, was styled to the max in an all-black ensemble that featured a clingy turtleneck sweater, a short-cropped furry jacket and slim skirt made of plush velvet.

Completing the stylish get-up were a pair of black suede boots that were comfortable as well as practical looking.

As usual, Kim's make-up was smoothly applied in earthy tones of brown and beige, with just a hint of natural gloss on the lips.

Not a hair was out of place even in that unpredictable, 40-degree Fahrenheit weather that threatened more rain and snow.

Kim, who was accompanied by a female friend as she left Kanye West's apartment, spent a lot of time inside the baby store.

She appeared to be enthralled by a plain and simple - for Kim - white onesie and a pair of trousers.

The mother-of-one, who gave birth to her daughter Nori on June 15, might have needed the diversion following her Twitter rampage the day before.

Kim vehemently slammed reports that she has had 'butt implants-injections'.

In defense of her derriere and shapely figure, Kim wrote: 'I'm seeing all these nonsense tabloids claiming I have butt implants-injections. Get a life! Using pics of me 15lbs skinnier (before I had my baby) comparing to me now!'.

'I still have weight to lose. Anyone who has had a baby knows how hard it is to lose weight(especially the last bit of weight) & your body totally changes!'.

She added: 'Making fun of me pregnant & making fun of me trying to lose weight now shame on you. I'm not perfect but I will never conform to your skinny standards sorry! Not me.'

Meanwhile, Kim's Kardashian Kids collection which they are selling exclusively for Babies 'R' Us, is expected to go on sale at stores and online on March 15.

The children's clothing features little dresses patterned with butterflies, leopard print ensembles and gold polka-dot leggings.

Kim was in a reflective mood as she posted two Instagrams to commemorate Throwback Thursday - one of her and Kourtney from their trip to London in 2013 and a picture of her, Kanye and her brother Rob from 2008.
