The Game has been ordered to pay a former nanny more than
$200,000 for libel he allegedly committed on his Instagram account, ABC7
reports.
Judge Mitchell Beckloff ordered The Game to pay $200,627 to
Karen Monroe after he failed to respond to the lawsuit, which was filed in
2013.
Monroe sued the West Coast rapper over an Instagram post that
called her a "dangerous baby sitter." She sued him for defamation and
intentional intentional infliction of emotional stress.
The Game said at the time that he caught her having sex in
his daughter's room and that she drank and smoked on the job.
Monroe claimed that in she received multiple death threats as
a result of the post. She also says she lost her job as a nanny for Nas and
sought therapy for depression.
