Man Stabs Self To Death Over Disagreement With Lover

A 33-year-old-man, Oluwatosin Otaiku, last weekend, allegedly  stabbed himself to death over disagreement with his fiancee, identified as Olaogun Oluwatoyin.
We gathered that the deceased decided to kill himself few weeks after he was told by his girlfriend that she was no more interested in the relationship.
It was further gathered that the deceased’s neighbours, who were aware of the development, reportedly called the warring parties to break the truce and resolve the disagreement.
An eyewitness had it that the duo were made to discuss in privacy inside a shop at Safari junction in Onikolobo not suspecting that the deceased came to the venue with a knife in case the outcome went against him.
It was further gathered that Oluwatoyin  stood her ground, maintaining that she couldn’t continue with the relationship.
The deceased reportedly brought out the knife which forced Olaogun to storm out of the shop thinking she was the target.
Olaogun immediately alerted neighbours who rushed to the scene and met the deceased stabbing himself.
He was rushed to Mercy Hospital, Panseke before he was later referred to Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Idi-Aba  in Abeokuta but he  died on the way to the hospital.
Policemen from Adigbe Division, who were drafted to the scene for investigation, took the remains of Otaiku to State Hospital, Ijaye and whisked three persons  away in an Hilux van marked NPF 7092 C.
Reacting to the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that the police were  still holding Olaogun until a postmortem examination is carried out on the deceased.
Adejobi  explained that the command was still examining the statements by the suspects and eyewitnesses.
He said: “The lady is still with us, she is still our suspect for now until we carried out a proper investigation on the corpse. We need some time to study the statements but the expert’s opinion is to carry out a postmortem on the body.”

Press Release: Troops Arrest A Key Actor In Chibok Abduction

A terrorists’ intelligence cell headed by a businessman who participated actively in the abduction of School Girls in Chibok has been busted by troops.   The man, Babuji Ya’ari who is also a member of the Youth Vigilante Group popularly known as Civilian JTF which he uses as cover while remaining an active terrorist, also spearheaded the murder of the Emir of Gwoza.  His main role in the group is to spy and gather information for the terrorists group.
Babuji has been coordinating several deadly attacks in Maiduguri since 2011, including the daring attacks on Customs and military locations as well as the planting of IEDs in several locations in the town.

The arrest of the businessman who is known to deal in tricycles has also yielded some vital information and facilitated the arrest of other members of the terrorists’ intelligence cell who are women.  One of them, Hafsat Bako had earlier escaped to Gombe State to avoid suspicion but was tracked and arrested.  Prior to her arrest, Hafsat coordinated the payment of other operatives on the payroll of the group.   In her confession, she disclosed that a minimum of N10,000 is paid to each operative depending on the enormity of his task.
Another female suspect named Haj Kaka who doubles as an armourer and a spy for the terrorists group has also been arrested.  Until their arrest, all the suspects actively operated a terrorists’ intelligence cell in collaboration with others still at large.

In another development, troops deployed in Goniri, Yobe State, over the weekend, had an encounter with terrorists, resulting in casualties on both sides after the attack was successfully repelled.

Horror Outside Busy Tokyo Railway Station As Man Calmly Sets Himself On Fire In Protest At Japan’s Defence Policy

A man set himself on fire at Tokyo's busy Shinjuku railway station on Sunday in what appears to be a rare violent political protest.
The man, who appeared to be in his 50s or 60s, was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries, said Daiji Kubota, an officer at the Shinjuku police station. He said the man's identity and the reason for the self-immolation was under investigation.
Footage of the incident on Twitter and other social media showed a man wearing a suit and tie sitting on a small mat along the metal framework above a pedestrian walkway with two plastic bottles of what looked like gasoline beside him.
Witnesses were quoted as saying the man spoke through a megaphone to protest the government's moves to change Japan's defence policy.
He then doused himself with gasoline and set himself alight as hundreds of people watched from below and from nearby buildings.
Television reports showed firefighters pulling the man down onto the pedestrian bridge walkway and using hoses and a fire extinguisher to put out the fire. The man was then taken away in an ambulance.
Japan's Cabinet is expected on Tuesday to approve a proposal calling for the right to 'collective self-defence,' which would allow Japan to play a more assertive role in international security amid China's growing military presence and rising regional tensions. Japan currently limits its participation even in U.N. peacekeeping activities to noncombat roles.
Critics say the shift undermines the war-renouncing Article 9 of Japan's Constitution, and opposition groups have staged constant but peaceful protests outside Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's official residence.
Japan has had very few self-immolations in past decades despite a long history of suicides by ritual disembowelment, or seppuku, dating back to the feudal era.
The most high-profile suicide for political reasons in the modern era was by Yukio Mishima, a right-wing author considered to be one of Japan's greatest novelists, who killed himself in front of the headquarters of Japan's Self Defense Forces in 1970 after an unsuccessful coup attempt.

Fans Hail OSMI Pidgin English Commentaries

Optima Sports Management International (OSMI), the 2014 FIFA World Cup terrestrial TV broadcast rights owners for the Nigerian territory, has been hailed by a cross section of Nigerian fans for introducing Pidgin English match commentaries to the on-going World Cup television broadcast.
OSMI runs both the English and Pidgin English commentaries for the World Cup live broadcast and a good number of Nigerian television stations have been beaming the Pidgin English version.
The Pidgin English commentaries, which are anchored by the trio of Cool FM/Naija Info sports journalists: Kelechi Nkoro, Deji Faremi and Jude Otigbu, according to the viewers, have brought a different dimension to the tournament’s broadcast.
Nnamdi Okoro, a Lagos-based electronics dealer, who watches the matches on Galaxy TV because of its preference for Pidgin English commentaries, said the innovation makes the broadcast “real and personal”. He said: “Now I can watch the World Cup matches with the language I appreciate and comfortable with. I don’t need to strain my ears to hear the foreign commentators. It is a good move from OSMI”.
Segun Idowu, an unemployed graduate, who boasted to have watched all the matches of the World Cup so far on television and has a plan to be in Russia for the 2018 World Cup, applauded OSMI for the Pidgin English commentaries.
He said: “It’s a good development. It presents a viable option for the viewers. I know a good number of my friends who would rather go for the Pidgin version than English. I particularly love the dexterity of the presenters and I wish many more stations will go for the pidgin as well. Kudos to OSMI for this also.”
Speaking on this, Mr. Kunle Falodun, Managing Director, OSMI, said the desire to enrich viewers World Cup experience was responsible for the innovation. “This is the first in the history of sports broadcasting in the country and we are proud to be at the forefront of giving the Nigerian audience a valuable, special and unforgettable viewing experience.

“We are simply enhancing viewers’ participation and followership, and Pidgin English has become more or less an indigenous language which most Nigerians speak. We carefully assembled the Pidgin English crew because of their expertise. From the feedback that we have received so far, the commentary has become very popular with Nigerians,” he noted.

110 Victims Of Kaduna Attacks Get Mass Burial

NO fewer than 110 victims of Monday and Tuesday’s killings in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State were, yesterday, given mass burial.
Chairman of the local government, Mr. Emmanuel Adamu confirmed this development in a telephone interview with Vanguard.
The National Chairman of Ninzom Progressive Youth, Mr. Bezard Wuyah, who also confirmed the mass burial, said those buried included an unnamed Igbo trader and his wife. The victims were buried in a parcel of land between Gwantu Kurmi and Kobin near the local government.
Speaking on the issue, Adamu said: “We have just finished giving 110 people mass burial this (yesterday) afternoon. We had no choice, because their corpses were decomposing as a result of poor facilities at the hospitals.
“However, not all the dead were given mass burial. Some families were able to identify their loved ones, so they were allowed to take the bodies away. I cannot give the number of bodies taken away by families.
“All those that are injured will be treated by Sanga Local Government free of charge. Normalcy has returned with the beefing up of security in the area. Today (yesterday) we got eight Toyota Hilux loads of soldiers from Kaduna, who have come to join those already on ground.
“I want to appeal to all the people of Sanga to please forgive and leave vengeance to Almighty God. I beg everyone to remain law abiding, but vigilant.”
On his part, Wuyah said: “This (yesterday) afternoon, our people who were killed without provocation were buried in a mass grave between Gwantu Kurmi and Kobin.
“It was not only our people that were killed. I am told that an Igbo man, who had lived long in Kobin, was killed along with his wife and his shop burnt by the Fulani herdsmen.

“Our land has been desecrated and we are deeply mourning. We do not expect the government to treat this with levity by taking our peaceful and law abiding nature for granted.”
Meanwhile, the 24 hour curfew imposed on the area is still in force.

Chris Brown Reality Show May Be Berth on BET Soon

BET is gunning to air a Chris Brown reality show ... and they've already held focus groups to find out if viewers will flock to their sets or stay away.
Multiple sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... BET has made it clear to several production companies ... the network would absolutely air a Chris Brown reality series, chronicling his life after jail.
We're told several production companies are angling to sign Chris, but so far that hasn't happened.  If it does, we're told the show will get on the air.
A focus group was held Tuesday in the San Fernando Valley ... asking participants if they'd watch a reality show in which Chris tries to stay on the straight and narrow -- free from violence and drugs.
We're told the group -- comprised entirely of African American females -- was split, but the majority said they'd watch to see if Chris would screw up.

15 Men Gang Rape 16-Yr-Old Girl In Rivers

Police have arrested members of a 15-man gang that allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl in Gbuga area of Ogbunabali, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The state Police Commissioner, Mr Tunde Ogunsakin, told newsmen, yesterday, at the Police headquarters in Port Harcourt that the girl allegedly attended a party organised in the area, adding that she took a glass of strong drink offered her by one of the rapists which made her pass out before she was allegedly raped by 15 men.

He said: “The victim reported that she attended a party at Ogbuga Street in Ogbunabali, Port Harcourt organised by one Tina.
“While at the party, she was given a glass of strong drink by Tambari Dumlesi. That was the last memory she had before she was raped by 15 men. She woke up to find herself in torn boxers and with swollen privates.

“The victim has since been taken to the Police clinic for check up and treatment while three suspects have been apprehended. Investigation is still on.”
He said his men also arrested a ritualist and kidnapper in Igwuruta area of the state, adding that a human skull was among items recovered from him.

“At the point of his arrest, the suspect was discovered to be in possession of two locally made pistols, live ammunition and a human skull. These were recovered from him.

“Upon subsequent investigation, it was revealed that the skull was that of a lady murdered by the suspect and his gang. The suspect also owned up to using the skull as a medium to get rich, claiming that the skull speaks to him and provides him with 10, 20, 30 Naira notes after special sacrifice.

Ritualist Den Operated By Pastor Uncovered, 8 Kidnapped Victims Rescued In Lagos

A ritualists’ den was, yesterday, uncovered at Ogolonto area of Ikorodu Lagos, with at least eight victims, said to have been kidnapped from different parts of the country, rescued.

One of the victims, a 52-yearold man, who identified himself simply as Onwurah, alleged that his wife had a hand in his kidnap, saying he had spent two years in the enclave.

The den was uncovered following a foiled attempt by a mother of four to take one of her victims, a seven yearold boy, to the den.

Vanguard gathered that the woman identified as Mrs Rosemary Chukwu, who resides at 33, Omologede Street, behind C&S Primary School, allegedly abducted the seven-yearold primary school pupil, Emmanuel Emeka, on his way to fetch water from a public well at about 6.30 a.m.
Chukwu was alleged to have kept the boy inside her toilet and engaged her four children in a prayer session, apparently to prevent her cotenants from hearing the abducted boy’s cry for help.

Meanwhile, back in the abducted boy’s home, located four buildings from his captors, his mother became apprehensive over his unusual delay. She was said to have raised alarm which caused residents to conduct a search round the neighborhood for Emeka.

Eye witnesses said that Chukwu even went out and suggested areas where the search party could search for the missing boy. She was said to have been sighted with a suitcase on her head, accompanied by her children.

An eye witness, who gave his name as Oyetoye Gbemi, said: “She told us she was travelling to the village. But one of the area boys who was among the search party,  ordered his colleagues to search the box.
“Immediately she heard that, she flung the box away and took to her heels. We all suspected something was amiss. When the box was opened, Emmanuel was found inside, half dead.

“The area boys descended on her and stripped her naked. On interrogation, she said her pastor, the General Overseer of Holy Family Ministry a.k.a House of Mercy, asked her to bring the boy.

“The area boys followed her to 319, Lagos Road, Ikorodu, where the church is situated, where they saw her pastor waiting for her. But on sighting the crowd, he took to his heels.

“But for the arrival of Policemen from Owutu division, the woman would have been lynched. The angry mob also attempted to set the church ablaze but were also prevented by the policemen. They, however, succeeded in torching some parts of the property.”

But to the astonishment of all, another building alleged to be used for ritual purposes by Pastor Ernest Nwankwo was discovered.

The building located at 7, Oshodi Street, was behind the church. It was gathered that some miscreants uncovered the building while they were chasing the fleeing pastor.

The mob was said to have forced some apartments in the building open, where they found an undisclosed number of persons in chains.

The victims were said to have recounted how they were kidnapped from Anambra, Bayelsa, Ogun and Oyo states at different times. One of them, according to eye witnesses, who pleaded anonymity, said she was kidnapped 11 years ago.

According to an eyewitness, “the woman said she is about 50 years old and that she was kidnapped along the Lagos/Ibadan expressway while returning from a vigil.

“The rest were males and were wearing briefs. They looked haggard and tired. The area boys set them free when they opened the apartments. I believe some of them should be with the police.

“There were also ‘Ghana must go’ bags of currencies . The area boys looted some of the things they met before the arrival of the Police.”

I was abducted from Anambra 2 yrs ago
—Victim
When Vanguard visited the den, there were bloodstains around the building and a particular apartment where those alleged to be in chains were kept, was opened up. The apartment was dark and was littered with dirty cutlery suspected to have been used to feed the victims. There was also a bowl which contained suspected human blood.

A 52 yearold man seen in chains told Vanguard that he was kidnapped two years ago from Anambra State. He said he used to be a commercial bus driver before he was abducted and brought to Lagos.

“The man said he could not join others to escape because the key to his chain could not be found. When he was asked if Pastor Ernest was responsible for his abduction, he charged at him, saying: “Do not call him a pastor. He is not. He is a killer and a ritualist.”

A community leader in the area who identified himself as Alfa Olajide Odeji, told Vanguard that the building on Oshodi Street was always under lock and key. He said there were unusual movements there at night. His claim was collaborated by another community leader who gave his name as Elder Sikiru Odebowale.

Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide failed. However, Police sources confirmed that the female suspect was in Police custody and that the seven-yearold boy had been taken to a hospital. His condition could, however, not be ascertained. Also, Pastor Ernest Nwankwo was said to be on the run.

Diamond Bank MD Bags 2013 Zik Leadership Award

Group Managing Director and CEO of Diamond Bank Plc, Dr. Alex Otti, has received the 2013 Zik Prize in the Professional Leadership category, at an award ceremony organized by the Public Policy Research and Analysis Centre (PPRAC) recently.
Delivering the welcome address, Prof. Jubril Aminu, Chairman, Advisory Board of PPRAC, said that late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, who the award was instituted in his memory, needed no introduction as his nationalist legacies loom large in the national psyche. Continuing in his strides, Aminu said the Zik Prize has become a national institution to celebrate notable Nigerians for their contributions to the society.
Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Secretary General of the Commonwealth and Chairman of the occasion, extolled the virtues of Azikiwe, noting that he has become an institution whose legacies would transcend generations.
“Dr. Azikiwe is no doubt a legend that has contributed a lot to the development of the country and we are here to celebrate distinguished Nigerians who have proven themselves in public service and professional leadership like the late Zik. We hope that those present here today will draw inspiration from the late African giant,” he added.
Responding on the award, Dr. Otti said, “The shoes of the late Dr. Azikiwe cannot be filled, so we are only trying our best to follow in his footsteps. Like Chief Anyaoku noted, the current situation whereby we spend about 80% of our national revenue on recurrent expenditure leaving very little for capital investment is unsustainable. This is why we continue to face problems of youth restiveness, among others.
“At Diamond Bank, we are trying in our own ways to reduce the burden of youth unemployment. We have instituted the Building Entrepreneurs Today (BET) project, where we try to help young people with great ideas but no money to execute them. We reach out to these people from all over the country and select fifty with the best ideas for training at the Enterprise Development Centre of the Pan Atlantic University. After the first round of training, the best fifteen go through a second phase of business training with top consultants. The final five participants are given free grants of three million naira each to pursue their ideas. So far, Diamond Bank has invested over one hundred billion naira into the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises sector.”
Executive Secretary of PPRAC, Prince Emeka Obasi, described Dr. Otti as an intellectual banker and quintessential leader who, “after graduating with a first class degree and as the best graduating student in his set at the university, came into banking and has been making strides for others to follow.”
Other awardees include Senator Liyel Imoke, Governor of Cross Rivers State; Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo,  Governor of Gombe State; and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Governor of Edo State.
Others are: Dr Bamanga Tukur, Chairman, Nigerian Railway Corporation; Aare Afe Babalola, Founder, Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD); Dr ABC Orjiako, CEO, SEPCOL; Dr. Ernest Obiejesi, GMD of Nestoil Plc and Ms. Evelyn Oputu, former MD/CEO, Bank of Industry.

INCREDIBLE: Woman Gives Birth After 14 Years Pregnancy!

Saturday June 7, 2014, will remain the happiest day in the life of Mercy James. Reason? That was the day she miraculously gave birth to a baby girl after 14 years of being pregnant.
1gThe baby was promptly and aptly christined Miracle. And why not? If the mother had delivered at the expected time the child would have been a teenager by now and possibly in secondary school at the JSS 3 level.
Mercy, a single parent, said of her ordeal during the 14 years she was pregnant but could not give birth: “When I first took in, I knew that I was pregnant with signs and test that confirmed that I was. Four months later, I went to hospital for another test, the result showed that I wasn’t pregnant, but had fibroid.
Subsequently, I began to experience bleeding, at least once a day. Sometimes, my tummy would protrude in the semblance of pregnancy. I went to different hospitals, and I kept on receiving the same result that nothing was wrong with me. But deep down inside , I knew that all was not well with me.
Churches and native doctors
“So I was taken aback when a midwife told me I was pregnant. But considering the test which showed I had fibroid, I was angry with the midwife for giving me what I felt was a false prophecy of hope. Thereafter, I started going from one church to another and from one native doctor to the other. The results that I got from them all remained the same. I became more feeble and confused that I prayed for death to come.
“I went again to the midwife two years after and complained to her about the pains that I was going through, she told me again that it was not fibroid but pregnancy; she advised me to be more prayerful so that God will deliver me from the hands of the devil. I kept on praying and at the same time asking myself that if truly I’m pregnant, why is it that the baby was not kicking?
“I bought many concoctions that they said could cure fibroid and drank them. I even drank 12 bottles of a local cleanser but to no avail. This went on for years. Then God took pity on me and decided to wipe my tears.
On the day I gave birth to my baby girl, I initially thought that worms were trying to come out of my body not knowing that it was a baby. This was what I told the midwife when we came to her. But after examining me she told me to push.
I ignored her. I became unconscious for about 15 minutes and when I regained consciousness, I heard the cry of a baby. I was surprised and confused seeing my baby. I couldn’t believe my eyes. Hmm,I thank God for my life and that of my baby Miracle. I named her Miracle because she is truly a miraculous child”.
Miraculous child
The midwife at the Celestial Church of Christ, Kadoso Parish, Ajegunle where Mercy gave birth confirmed the development, especially the role she played.
The woman who simply gave her name as Mrs Ajetima informed thus: “She was pregnant for 14 years and was unable to give birth during this period. Then on Saturday around 6:30am I saw two persons carrying her to this place. When she came inside, I laid her down and asked one of my daughters to examine her, after the examination, I found out that it was a baby that was about coming out and not worms. I asked her to push and she refused. My daughter gave her a hard slap on her laps since she refused to push.
Behold a baby with placenta came out! I started shouting, calling on people to come and see for themselves that Mercy was truly pregnant, because if not, people will start to say that that Celestial woman has given Mercy a baby. Within a twinkle of an eye, the whole place was filled with people. God is wonderful”.
Also affirming the happy development, Mercy’s closest friend, Odunayo Odeyemi had this to say: “I have known mercy for over nine years now. I met her with the pregnancy . In fact, she did not know that she was pregnant. I followed her to many places but her problems kept on increasing. Merely looking at Mercy then before she gave birth, you will notice that she wasn’t okay. I kept advising her to have faith in God because I had experienced the same thing. I was pregnant for three years and three months and God delivered me.
“Mercy came to me on that fateful day around 4am begging me to give her a pain reliever, that she was having pains all over her body. I dressed up and took her to a man that sells drugs. After taking the drug, on our way home, she started having serious pains. I called her brother and we both took her to the midwife. Hours later, she gave birth to a bouncing baby girl. We all were surprised because we never expected such a miracle to happen. She had a complete baby.”
Robert Davidson, one of Mercy’s friends, said that he concluded after seeing Mercy with a protruded tummy for three years that she had fibroid. So, “it came to me as a shock to learn that she delivered a bouncing baby girl.”
For Chidimma Ibe, a neighbour: “She always complained to me that she had stomach pains all these period. She told me that she had fibroid and sometime, she will complain of different things. She was totally confused as to what her condition was. I’m very much surprised and happy she gave birth to a complete baby girl. It was truly a miracle. God was on her side. God is wonderful because all the concoctions she took were enough to kill the baby.”
On the father of Baby Miracle, Mercy informed that they got separated on account of the ordeal that attended her pregnancy. “Friday is the name of my baby’s father. Actually, we are not married. He just proposed to me and I became pregnant for him. He knew about the pregnancy. He always gave me money for tests and scans but he got tired and left me after waiting for me for over a year without seeing any sign of a baby. I have no option than to go my own way,” she informed.

Sudanese Mother Meriam Ibrahim Faces SEVEN Years In Jail For Trying To Flee Country Hours After Death Sentence For 'Marrying Christian Was Dropped'

Meriam Ibrahim faces up to seven years in jail over new offences levelled at her by the Sudanese regime..
The mother-of-two was told the devastating news after being detained as she tried to fly out of the African country hours after a death sentence against her was dropped.
Dr Ibrahim, 27, was charged with obtaining a false travel document and giving false information to immigration officials - and banned from leaving Sudan.
The move is another twist of the knife as Dr Ibrahim tries to get to America with her two children where she can live with her husband Daniel Wani, a US citizen, from Manchester, New Hampshire.
Instead she is back in a cell with her son Martin, 21, and daughter Maya, one month.
Mr Wani is also locked up with them at the Al Sheradee police station in Khartoum after being confronted at Khartoum airport by 40 agents of the feared National Intelligence and Security Services.
It is believed they were trying to travel to Washington DC and Sudanes media have claimed that the US vice consul was with the family at the airport.
Mr Wani told AFP: 'We are worried. that;s why we want to get out of here as soon as possible.'
Dr Ibrahim’s lawyer Shareif Ali Shareif told MailOnline: 'The authorities do not have the right to hold her. They appear not to want to let her leave Sudan. They are restricting her movements.
'Her husband Daniel and the children are with her in the same cell. Any reports suggesting she has been released are wrong. We need to highlight her plight.’
A diplomatic row has now erupted and the Sudanese Foreign Ministry has summoned the American and South Sudanese ambassadors to explain themselves.
Dr Ibrahim had been granted emergency travel documents by the government of South Sudan to travel there and then on to the US.
Mr Shareif insisted that the documents were legitimate and that it was ‘not right’ to claim otherwise.
Dr Ibrahim was released from the grim Omdurman Women’s Prison on Monday after nine months in custody during which time she was sentenced to death and 100 lashes for apostasy and adultery and gave birth to Maya in her call whilst shackled to the floor.
A judge had ruled that she had broken strict Islamic law by failing to renounce her Christian faith and become a Muslim.
On Monday an appeal court overturned her conviction after an international outcry but on Tuesday she and her family were detained again.
What happens next is unclear - Dr Ibrahim has yet to be granted asylum by the US - but so long as she remains in Sudan her life is in danger.

Rick Ross Drops 100 Pounds: Says “I Eat Pears Now And S**t”

Rick Ross has been slimming down since last year, and according to E! Online, the rapper has dropped around 100 pounds with the help of Reebok’s CrossFit program and better eating habits.

For those who don’t know, CrossFit is a fitness regimen that is both a strength and conditioning workout, and helps to improve a range of things, including stamina, power, agility and more, all at the same time. Losing so much weight is quite a feat for the rapper, who has struggled with his weight for quite some time, but rarely let it bother him (hence him always taking off his shirt during performances with not a care in the world). So what spurred the big change of heart? In an interview with Tim Westwood in London last month, he said he just felt like he needed to do better when it came to his size.

“You know, I ain’t really keeping up on, you know, the amount, you know, of weight. I just, I just wanted to get in some better shape, you know what I’m saying,? Put myself in a better position. So I just, I still eat the way I want to eat, I just go to the gym. I do this s**t called, uh, CrossFit.

I call it ‘RossFit.’ It’s called ‘RossFit’ now. What it is, is earlier this summer, Reebok had introduced to a trainer, and what he turned me on to was a training…Let’s say, for instance, if you got on a treadmill and you did that s**t for 30 minutes, yeah, you’re burning calories but you could be doing something that’s burning calories and building muscle at the same time. So it’s like, you’re working out a shorter time. I could go out and do some s**t for 20 minutes and you could be looking like this [flexes in camera], you heard me?
You know, the most I used to do for exercise was stand up to count the money…But now, they give me fruit to eat. I forgot what fruit, you know, tasted like. I eat pears now and s**t like that.”

Looks like all that fruit eating (“and s**t”) is working out well for him! Check out more photos of Ross all slimmed down below.

Psychiatric Patient Stabs Herbalist To Death- Vanguard

A 24-year-old psychiatric patient, Iijisakin Ayoola, has reportedly stabbed to death his 60-year-old traditional doctor, Alfa Iliasu Waheed, in Idanre, Ondo State.
Consequently, the Police in Akure has detained the suspect.
The suspect reportedly stabbed the traditional doctor in the neck with a broken bottle which caused his death.
Vanguard gathered that the deceased before his death specialised in healing psychiatric patients.
Sources said that the deceased who resided at 9, Isanwo Ijigbokin Street, Idanre was from Osun State. He was married to an Idanre woman before he met his untimely death in the hands of one of his patients.
Vanguard learnt that the suspect, after stabbing the deceased also attempted to set the house ablaze before he was later apprehended.
According to the sources the deceased, who had no premonition of the attack, was approached from behind by the suspect who drove the broken bottle into the neck of his doctor in his apartment.
The shout for help from the deceased attracted his neighbours who rushed to the Police station in AladeIdanre Divisional Police Headquarters.
The DPO, SP Martins Ohalete, reportedly dispatched a team to the scene of the crime where they met the deceased in a pool of his blood. Although he was rushed to the general hospital, he died before any treatment could be administered on him.
The deceased, according to family source, has been buried according to Islamic rites.
Police image maker, Wole Ogodo, who confirmed the incident, said the suspect escaped after committing the crime but was later arrested.
Ogodo said the suspect was among the patients the deceased was treating for mental disorder.
According to Ogodo, the suspect is presently being detained at the State Criminal Department(SCID) while detectives are probing the immediate cause of the death.
Ogodo said: “We will take the suspect to a psychiatric hospital to ascertain his level of sanity before charging him to court because nobody has the right to take another man’s life in whatever situation.”

Headmistress 'Had Sex With Pupil In Uniform As He Played Truant After She Phoned His School And Referred To Herself As His "Mummy"'

An acclaimed head teacher had sex with an underage boy in his uniform as he played truant from school, a court heard yesterday.
Anne Lakey, 54, who transformed her school into one of the best in the country,  phoned the boy’s school and – referring to herself as his ‘mummy’ – said he was too ill to go, it was alleged.
Lakey, referred to as a ‘predator’ and ‘disgusting sexual monster’, is accused of grooming the boy from the age of 13 or 14 for a year-long period in the late 1980s.
The court was told she had sex with the impressionable teenager at her family home. When her husband returned unexpectedly, she made the boy hide in a cupboard.
Lakey appeared at Durham Crown Court yesterday accused of a string of ‘predatory’ sexual offences, including sex with a boy under 16.
She is accused of having sex with him while he was in  his school uniform and exposing herself to him.
The offences were said to have occurred when she was a teacher in her late 20s, but the alleged victim was not a pupil.
She denies the claims, dismissing them as ‘just a fantasy’.
She met her alleged victim, the court heard, when he was just 13 or 14 and began to exploit him, eventually seducing him while he played truant from school at her home.
Caroline Goodwin, prosecuting, said: ‘At this house, groups of boys would gather – her husband at the time was sometimes there. Sooner or later he, the complainant, began to go by himself. It was then that the relationship took on a more sinister overtone.
‘He was a teenager who was naturally curious about sex, she flattered him and paid attention to him. He was a young teenager who was being groomed by a woman who was a sexual predator.’
The court heard how Lakey asked the complainant if he would play a game of ‘dare’ with her, which resulted in her baring her breasts and allowing him to touch them.
Later she allowed the boy to sit on a step outside the bath as she washed and then stood up and walked into the bedroom, dropped her towel and asked him ‘what are you going to do then?’
Then, the court heard, she had sex with the boy, still dressed in his school uniform, and continued to have a sexual relationship with him regularly after that.
The court heard that Lakey told the boy she loved him and he would say it back. Miss Goodwin said the opportunities to have sex were ‘plentiful’ and Lakey would sometimes call the boy’s school, refer to herself as the boy’s ‘mummy’ and say that he was not coming in because of illness.
The complainant came forward in 2012 after seeing a piece of literature which said that Lakey was committed to giving young people the best chance in life.
In a letter, he called the defendant a ‘disgusting sexual monster’. Lakey, from Stanley, County  Durham, was described as an ‘inspiring leader’ by the Chief Inspector of Education after improving GCSE pass rates at her struggling school by focusing on vocational education.

But she was suspended from her position as chief executive of the Durham Federation of Schools last December after the allegations came to light.
She denies  all nine charges against her, which include two counts of inciting  a boy to commit an act of  gross indecency, two of gross  indecency, and five counts of  indecent assault.
The offences are said to have happened between April 1988 and May 1989.
Lakey became the head teacher at Deerness Valley Comprehensive in 2001 which later became one of two schools to form the Durham Federation of Schools.
Under Lakey’s leadership the school boasted GCSE pass rates of 80 per cent in 2013 against 26 per cent the year before, and it was named the country’s most improved secondary school last year.
Lakey, who was appointed to the national leaders of education, a body charged with transforming struggling schools, entered teaching in 1982. The trial continues.
