Nigerian boxer, Bash Ali has been arrested for allegedly
causing trouble at The Nigerian Export – Import (NEXIM’s) bank premises in Abuja.
Bash Ali was at the bank
to demand from the authorities why the directive from the President to issue
some amount of money for the sponsorship of his proposed Guinness Book of World
Record fight has not been met. Things
went out of hands when the bank authorities said he was trespassing.
Bash Ali and his three man entourage were accused
of threatening to blow up the bank’s premises. The police were called in and
the four of them were arrested and charged for causing nuisance after spending
the night at SARS in Abuja.
