Exhibitionists young and old undressed and hit the surf in Vera, Spain in a bid to break the previous best set at 506 in New Zealand last year.
About 729 people in total turned out naked on the beach.
The record attempt was organised by bosses at the tourist board in Vera - an hour east of Almeria - who are now planning to promote the resort as a destination for naturists.
I know some of you wish you were looking at all the flabby boobs and saggy stomachs there! nmm!. Please do not quote me abeg.
