Justice
Oputa, father of a popular Nigerian musician, Charly Boy is dead. He died yesterday in Abuja
at the age of 96. The retired Justice of the Supreme Court was said
to have suffered from stroke and had been in hospital before he died yesterday.
It will be recall
that Justice Oputa headed the popular ‘Oputa Panel’ set up by former President
Olusegun Obasanjo when he assumed office in 1999 as a civilian president.
May his
soul rest in peace.
