Employing Entrepreneurial Skill As Artists- Dr Dre, 50 Cent, P-Diddy, etc Examples

In Nigeria for example, if an Artist is able to make hit for 10 years, that must be a super star and must really be talented and well loved.
It is only a few new generation Artists in the country that are able to remain relevant for 10 years, an example of that is 2face Idibia. In developed countries, Artists who make it are the BUSINESS MINDED ones. Example of such is 50 cent. He launched an incredibly lucrative business empire that earned him a well-deserved nine-figure,over $280 million fortune today.
One of 50′s biggest paydays came after he famously took equity in place of a huge salary to promote the sport beverage company Vitamin Water. Even if 50 cent does not work again or make hit/albums for the rest of his life, his standard of living will remain high and cool. The first thing that comes to the mind of an average Artiste in Nigeria when they make it are; Cars, Women and nice apartment in eyebrow area. Investment is always last in their mind.
Another big examples of Hihop Rap artiste moguls are Dr Dre, Jay Z, Birdman, P-didy and others.
Dr Dre has not released any single or any album in years, yet he is the first Hihop Artistes in the world to become a billionaire and still remain one. This is as a result of his headphone company. He sold his stake in Beats Electronics for over $900m.
Jay Z is the creator and owner of his own (incredibly successful) business, and he continues to build his wealth by reinvesting his (very large) profits into a wide swath of industries. Jay’s investments include, Roc-A-Fella Records, Rocawear,40/40 Club, Brooklyn Nets, Barclays Center etc.
Each one of them has shown an assiduous work ethic and a unique vision, often collaborating with previously established business titans who saw promise in their innovative and opportunistic ideas.
If you want to make it as Artists, why don’t you think investments rather than think women, cars, vacation etc if you want to make it and remain relevant because no Artist reigns forever. Think it, do it, you can!
