Nursing Mother Sells Baby For N260,000 In Akwa Ibom


A nursing mother, Imaobong Udoh has been arrested by the Akw Ibom State Police Command for selling her three-day-old baby girl for the sum of Two-Hundred and Sixty Thousand Naira.
Imaobong connived with a traditional birth attendant, Mrs Comfort Henry and a homeopathic Doctor, Mr Emmanuel Okon to carry out the illicit act.
They were arrested after the father of the baby reported the case of his missing baby to the police.
The police Commissioner in the state, Mr. Umar Gwadabe, explained that  the buyer,  Regina allegedly paid N150, 000 to the mother of the baby and N110, 000 to Okon, the homeopathic doctor, for his services.
The Police commissioner further stated that the accused would soon be arraigned in court.
