The picture above shows some delegates at the National
conference sleeping during proceeding. Some of them are close to their graves.
They make the more noise about the deteriorating state of Nigeria and the discordant
among regions. Now they have been given the opportunity to chart a new course
for the future of the country- Nigeria.
Most of these so called delegates are part of the people who
drowned this country and some of them have not given up in their sinking
mission. The question that keep hovering over the brains of Nigerian youths is,
where is the place the youths of Nigeria in all these?
It has been estimated
that each delegate will be paid a total of 30 million Naira at the end of the 3 months conference apart from the
brand new car each delegate was given which they will not return to the
Government of Nigeria at the end of the conference, to do what? You may ask. They
are now asking the Government of Nigeria to pay their Aids. “Nigeria we hail
thee”. Verdict, this conference has failed before it started because the old
men who claim to be representing their constituencies are detached from the
people they claim to represent. More so, they don’t know the feelings of
Nigerian youths and therefore cannot chart a course for them.
